Public scientific-research institution Institute for Protection and Ecology of the Republic of Srpska is public scientific-research, consulting, project and educational institution in the following fields: safety at work, protection and improvement of quality of working and living environment, people’s health protection, work safety, fire protection, risk management and system of quality management. It has been established in 1976. as Institute.
The activity of the Institute is the activity of the general and special social interest that provides accomplishment of rights and obligations of legal and physicalpersons and the achievement of other statutory interests prescribed by laws in the domain of environmental protection, safety at work and fire protection; as well as it represents a scientific-research and specialized institution in the domain of environmental protection, safety at work, fire protection and related areas, and basic, applied and developmental researches of strategic importance for the Republic of Srpska are conducted in the Institute.
Institute for Protection and Ecology of the Republic of Srpska is a public state institution owned by Ministry of science and technology of the Republic of Srpska, with its own finances and without Government’s role in its incomes.
Ownership structure: 100% Government of the Republic of Srpska.
