WORKSHOP “OPEN SCIENCE AND COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT: INTEGRATION AND PRACTICE” HELD IN BELGRADE

The workshop titled “Open Science and Community Engagement: Integration and Practice” was successfully held on April 28, 2025, at the Union-Nikola Tesla University in Belgrade.

The event was jointly organized by the University Union Nikola Tesla, Belgrade and the Institute for Protection and Ecology of the Republic of Srpska, as part of the SuDe2Re – Sustainable Development through Responsible Research project. This project is supported by the European Union within the broader REINFORCING Project initiative.

The workshop brought together researchers, institutional representatives, decision-makers, and community members, aiming to promote the principles of Open and Responsible Research and Innovation (ORRI). Special attention was given to strengthening the link between science and society, ethics in research, inclusiveness, and methods of engaging communities.

We sincerely thank all participants whose contributions made this event a success. We believe that this gathering has opened new opportunities for collaboration and laid the groundwork for a more open, inclusive, and socially responsible science across the region.
