THIRD RES2FIRE PROJECT STEERING COMMITTEE MEETING HELD

The third meeting of the Steering Committee of the RES2FIRE project – Models and Tools for Enhancing the Resistance and the Resilience to Wildfire in Natural Protected Areas and Wildland-Urban Interfaces – was held on May 6, 2025, in Banja Luka, in a hybrid format. The meeting was hosted by the Public Scientific Research Institution Institute for Protection and Ecology of the Republic of Srpska and the Public Institution Kozara National Park, and chaired by Biagio Peretti, the project coordinator from the Italian center CGIAM.

The meeting brought together representatives of all partner institutions from seven countries across the Adriatic-Ionian region. The agenda included a review of key information on project implementation and administrative-financial reporting under the Interreg IPA ADRION Programme, along with a detailed analysis of the activities and results achieved during the first implementation period.

Work package leaders presented progress within their respective areas, including technical reports, deliverables, communication activities, and the steps planned for the upcoming phase of the project. Particular focus was placed on the synchronization of activities among partners and ensuring the quality of project outcomes.

The meeting was held in a constructive atmosphere, with active exchange of experiences and suggestions by all partners. The participants reaffirmed their strong commitment to the common goal – strengthening the resilience and adaptability of protected areas and wildland-urban interfaces to wildfire risks.
