WORKSHOP ON CIRCULAR ECONOMY AT “BRANKO RADIČEVIĆ” PRIMARY SCHOOL

As part of the project CircleAware: Driving Awareness and Accelerating the Circular Economy Transition, implemented through the Interreg IPA CBC Croatia–Bosnia and Herzegovina–Montenegro programme, an educational workshop was held for second-grade students at “Branko Radičević” Primary School in Banja Luka.

The workshop was delivered by the Institute for Protection and Ecology of the Republic of Srpska, with the aim of introducing students to the basic concepts of the circular economy in a manner adapted to their age. Through presentations, discussions, and practical activities, students learned about the importance of waste reduction, reuse of materials, and responsible resource management.

The students participated actively, demonstrated great interest, and easily acquired new knowledge through a creative and engaging approach. At the end of the workshop, they received educational materials as a reminder of what they had learned and an incentive to apply sustainable habits in everyday life.

Such activities represent an important part of educating younger generations and supporting the development of a society based on the principles of sustainable development and circular economy.
