FIFTH STUDENT TRAINING HELD WITHIN THE BRIDGEWAT PROJECT
As part of the activities of the European project BRIDGEWAT – BRIDGing Communities for SustainablE WATers, implemented under the iMERMAID initiative, the Institute for Protection and Ecology of the Republic of Srpska organized the fifth student training intended for young people in the fields of natural and technical sciences, as part of the student conference "Materials without borders".
This time, special attention was given to connecting theoretical knowledge with industrial practice, and in that context, a study visit was organized to the company Roundliner BH d.o.o. in Banja Luka.
The training participants were final-year high school students, who through this activity had the opportunity to gain practical insight into the modern application of environmental chemistry, pollution, and water monitoring.
The delegation was hosted by the company’s director, Mr. Osman Džamastagić, who presented the company's activities focused on youth support and emphasized that Roundliner BH is committed to education and cooperation with educational institutions.
During the factory tour, students had the opportunity to talk to employees and observe specific industrial processes, contributing to a better understanding of the importance of material chemistry in a real working environment.
This activity represents one of the steps in building bridges between science, education, and industry, which is the core mission of the BRIDGEWAT project. The Institute continues to empower younger generations through programs aimed at developing skills, environmental awareness, and professional competencies for environmental protection.
