INSTITUTE REPRESENTATIVES PARTICIPATED IN AN INTERNATIONAL EVENT IN SKOPJE
Representatives of the Public Scientific Research Institution “Institute for Protection and Ecology of the Republic of Srpska” Banja Luka participated in the international event “Community-based project grantees networking and knowledge sharing event,” held in Skopje from March 10 to 12, 2026.

During the program, participants had the opportunity to exchange experiences, present the results of their projects, and discuss best practices in the field of open-space fire management.
On this occasion, the Institute’s representatives presented the “FireSafe Jezero” project, whose successful implementation was completed at the beginning of March this year. The presentation highlighted the project’s key activities, achieved results, and the importance of strengthening the local community’s capacities for the prevention of and response to open-space fires.
As part of the event, interactive workshops and thematic sessions were also organized, enabling the active participation of all project partners. Special emphasis was placed on knowledge exchange, networking, and identifying joint solutions for the improvement and further scaling of initiatives in the field of open-space fire management.
Participation in this event further contributed to strengthening cooperation with regional and international partners, as well as to the development of new ideas for the Institute’s future projects and activities.
