SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED SEMINAR IN THE FIELD OF OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH
The Public Scientific Research Institution Institute for Protection and Ecology of Republika Srpska successfully organised a professional development seminar in the field of occupational safety and health, held on 12 June 2026 at the Pan-European University “Apeiron” in Banja Luka.
The seminar was intended for occupational safety and health professionals, as well as other persons involved in the implementation of occupational safety and health measures.
The programme covered current and practically relevant topics, including workers’ exposure to electromagnetic fields in the magnetic resonance imaging environment, protection from non-ionising radiation of low and high frequencies, current legal and by-law regulations, inspection practice, the role of occupational medicine, and the importance of working environment testing in workplace risk assessment.
Professional lectures were delivered by Prof. Dr Zoran P. Popović, Igor Ratković, MSc Nataša Vukoje, Assist. Prof. Dr Vesna Paleksić, and Goran Šobot, BSc Mechanical Engineering.
The seminar was implemented through professional lectures, presentations, practical examples and discussion between participants and lecturers. Special attention was given to practical challenges faced by occupational safety and health professionals in their everyday work.
Based on the approval of the Ministry of Labour and Veterans and Disability Protection of the Government of Republika Srpska, each seminar participant receives 6 hours of professional training.
The Institute will continue to organise professional training courses and seminars aimed at strengthening professional capacities and improving workplace safety.
