Опис пројекта:
The primary objective of the project SuDe2Re is to enhance the capabilities of both University Union Nikola Tesla in Serbia and the PSRI Institute for Protection and Ecology of the Republic of Srpska in Bosnia and Herzegovina in implementing Open and Responsible Research and Innovation (ORRI) practices. This enhancement will focus on fostering societal engagement and addressing local ecological and environmental issues through collaborative research.
Specific objectives include:
- Capacity Building: Develop and conduct a series of workshops and training sessions (4 events with at least 160 researchers and staff in total, in ORRI principles, with at least 40% participation of women) to deepen the understanding of ORRI principles, specifically tailored towards environmental sustainability and community engagement.
- Institutional Framework Development: Establish an ORRI support framework within each institution (by the end of the project), including policy development and incentives for researchers to engage with the community (including developing and implementing at least 2 new institutional policies that support ORRI principles, with the goal of increasing researcher engagement in social projects by 20%).
- Exchange Ecosystem Strengthening: Facilitate collaboration between academic institutions (at least 5), local industries (at least 3), government bodies (at least 2), and civil society organizations (at least 2) to co-create solutions for local environmental challenges (at least 2) such as air and noise pollution, water quality, and sustainable urban development.
These objectives are aligned with the call requirements which emphasize the need for promoting open and responsible research practices that integrate societal needs into research processes, aiming for sustainable and inclusive solutions.
